THE EVENT FOCUSED ON EMPOWERMENT THROUGH A WORKSHOP THAT SUPPORTED:
AWARENESS OF WHO WE WERE & WHO THEY ARE
EDUCATION ON WHAT IS OUT THERE AND HOW IT EFFECTS THEM IN SEXUAL HEALTH
AND EMPOWERMENT THROUGH UNDERSTANDING WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU DOES NOT BREAK YOU.
THE GIRLS FOCUSED ON THE 90s MOVIE "JUST ANOTHER GIRL ON THE IRT"
And then broke into different segments to teach and empower.
They also enjoyed activities of:

MAKE UP TUTORIAL with LeNita Moss of Art Off-The Wall
Ultimately the girls had an amazing time and the GIRL TALK MOVEMENT mission was accomplished.

Saturday, February 18, 2017, Girl Talk Movement brought to life our rich black history through dance, art, poetry, and education presented by the volunteers of the Wilmington community.

Saturday, July 15th GTM hosted this workshop focused around Winning At Life! Speakers: Eric Purvis Mechanical Engineer & Motivational Speaker Coach Julian Williams came and motivated the girls on key factors that helped them to obtain success. This Workshop the girls received journals and planners to help them daily on creating healthy habits for success. A Bit of Background
Girl Talk Movement is celebrating our One Year Anniversary! We are so proud of all the girls who have been apart of the workshops produced this year. This event is designed to teach, educate, and celebrate our girls. Girl Talk Movement is asking all girls ages 9-17yrs old to attend this event.We will conclude our workshop with a ceremony to honor our past attendees with a certificate of completion. We are asking parents to plan to come and support our girls and see what they've learned this past year in Girl Talk.
